UN Watch’s choice of words in announcing the re-election of Museveni as Uganda’s President elicits reactions from Ugandans

UN Watch announced Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni’s re-election with an interesting choice of words that elicited reactions from Ugandans.
During the election, the opposition Bobi Wine and other Ugandans had alleged voter suppression and silencing of the opposition.
After Museveni was announced as the winner again, making this his 6th presidential term, having served as President of Uganda since 1986, UN Watch took to Twitter to make the announcement.
“Congratulations to Uganda President Yoweri Museveni on winning re-election after murdering, imprisoning & silencing opponents, shutting down the internet, and committing widespread voter fraud,” UN Watch wrote.
Ugandans took to the comment to react and, surprisingly, a good number of commenters defended Museveni and asked UN Watch to mind their business.
See reactions below.
This rebel museveni not only murdered people in Luweero, then recruited the little orphans , whose parents he had murdered as “kadogos”. Now his army is composed of nothing but murderers with no values. No surprise they shoot and kill innocent Ugandans on museveni and his generals’ orders without remorse.
Free bobi wine m7 must goooo
museveni must go because his a murderer that guy kills every one who wants to rule this country
I love my president M7 is going nowhere
You Rwandans must go back to your country
Let them watch their own affairs…ugandans chose who they want and the ones who chose the opposition had their right…that’s democracy
He’s going to retire before 2022.
Watch the space.
He’s not God.
And so his day of reckoning is here.
Am also thinking the same thing.
museveni is a murderer must go
