Professor Ransford Gyampo, a Political Science Lecturer, at the University of Ghana, Legon, says Ghana politicians have hidden under the cloak of public ignorance.
In his Facebook post, Prof Gyampo says because Ghanaians are not aware of what other countries are doing with regards to development and other great things that make a nation a good place to be, our politicians are capitalizing on our ingnorance and have done little or nothing for us.
“They have hidden under the cloak of public ignorance about what pertains elsewhere, to do little or nothing for us.”
For him, that is wicked leadership, because they know what is good but have not done it. The Holy Bible even say it is evil, when one knows what is right but does not do it.
According to him, though all our leaders have traveled to other countries before, and have seen the kind of development that is going on in those countries, they have not done anything in Ghana when it comes to development.
“The problem in Ghana is wicked leadership. Our political elites have service passports and they‘ve all traveled before. They’ve seen how others have developed their countries.”
He further quizzed how other countries have handled our current situation we have now.
Again, Prof says our leaders have traveled and seen it all. They know what to do but will not just do it, because Ghanaians are not aware of what is going on elsewhere.
“How have others handled a situation like the one we have on hand? Our leaders have traveled and have seen it all.”
