Wonders they say shall never end. It is very weird for humans to get married to inanimate objects, but this was the case as a woman married a tree at Rimrose Valley Country Park in Sefton, Merseyside.
English woman, Kate Cunningham, who got married to the elder tree has celebrated her first wedding anniversary with the tree. The 38 year-old woman who already has two children changed her surname to Elder when she and the elder tree tied the knot last year September.
Kate has said that they are more loved-up than ever and thus they have no plans to divorce. She also believes that marrying the tree was one of the best decisions she has ever made in her life.
Mrs. Elder celebrated her first wedding anniversary with two friends and some elderflowers champers. She promised that trees will always be her first priority, despite the embarrassment their marriage has caused her 15-year-old son who Kate claims that he is beginning to understand her now.
Finally, Kate said she feels more confident and she is unperturbed by what someone will say as the marriage as given her a new purpose.
