Decision Gone Wrong For Asante Kotoko As Former Player Explains Why The Team Will Struggle

Former Asante Kotoko player Jordan Opoku has reacted to the current form of his former employers, and why the decision to sack coach Prosper Ogum was wrong. Jordan Opoku believes Asante Kotoko will struggle this season because the decision to sack Prosper Ogum was not in right order.

“I said it a month ago in an interview that Kotoko will struggle this season. You can’t sack a coach who knows the players very well and allow all your experience players to leave and expect good results.” Jordan Opoku told Angel Sports.

Jordan Opoku sees consistency to be a key ingredient in aiding a team to progress. Coach Prosper Ogum should have been allowed to continue after leading the club to success.

“Consistency is very important, we should sometimes allow good things to last a little bit longer” – He Added.

Asante Kotoko have been eliminated from CAF Champions League through penalty kicks by Burkina Faso club RC Kadiogo.
