Former Asante Kotoko captain Ismail Abdul-Ganiyu has completed a move to Iraq side Talaba Sports Club on a one year deal with a renewal option. Sports Light Consult broke the deal for Ganiyu after they received the green light from Club Consult Africa.

“I want to thank Club Consult and club President of MSK Zilina Africa for giving me all the support in concluding Ishmail Abdul Ganiyu transfer” – Nana Kwarteng, CEO for Sports Light Consult told SportsObama.

Club top scorer Frank Etouga has left the club for Egyptian side Al Masry. His announcement was made at a time that Asante Kotoko were playing CAF Champions League preliminary round second leg against TC Kadiogo. The deal is reported to be worth $400,000, with the playing set to earn $25,000 as a salary.

Ismail Abdul Ganiu and Frank Etouga were linchpins during their domestic success last season. Ismail Abdul Ganiu provided stability at the rear while Frank Etouga scored 21 league goals to complete the season.
